To the moon and back...

So it's the appraisal time and .....

.

Boss: So how do you feel about last year...

.

Me : I am very happy with last year. How about you?

.

Boss: I am very happy and please with your performance too.

.

Me: Great!

.

Of course the appraisal didn't end there. It goes into mundane things like achievements, challenges bla bla bla, that I won't write here even if you want to read it. Don't be a 3 8.

.

Towards the end..

.

Me : So boss what do you think I can improve.

.

Boss: Actually I almost cannot find any weakness in you. If you can take note of 2 things it will be even better.

.

Me: Orh...

.

Boss: Sometimes you are too fast until you miss out something. Minor stuff but still if we are not careful, it can blow up.

.

Me: Orh..

.

Boss: And sometimes you might not noticed, you tend to get very loud when you become excited. Nothing wrong with that, but control the voice instead of letting the voice control you.

.

Me: Orh... ok i will take note.

.

I think it really takes skills to be able to provide negative feedback in a positive way that people don't feel offended. So I salute my boss he is able to do so, at least to me I don't feel offended when he give me feedback. Something I would like to learn one day.
